Scripture: Genesis 15:1-21  Intro  Review: When you Dare to Draw near to God  You will face Trials  You will face Suffering  You will face the Testing of Faith  You will be Mastered by Him  Your pride will be revealed  You will have an anointing to face your discouragement  Abraham’s background  When you Dare to Draw Near to God, You can master your circumstances    Abraham believed the Lord vs 1-6  God is the anchor to Abraham’s soul  (How can Abraham anchor his soul to God like that?)  God made an unconditional covenant promise vs 8-11  God calls Abraham to set together a covenant ratification ceremony  God ratified that the whole ceremony Himself  Abraham, may I be cut off if I don’t do my part of the promise. But Abraham, may I be cut off if you don’t do yours.    Reflect and Discuss   When was the last time you sat down and sought the Lord? To ask the simple question, “How do I know that you will do what you said you will do?” Jeremiah 29:13 said, “You will seek me and find me when you seek me with all your heart.”   Spend this week reading through the gospels again, but this time, before you read ask the question, “How do I know that you will do what you said you will do?” And start reading looking for that answer.
