I know the one that sick is the doctor So happens when you go to Disneyland in the rain. He said that it rained What did he say it's like the most rain they've had there since like 1938? Yeah, I like the second most in history. Yeah, it was crazy.
He just got poured on You think he can build himself on his own insurance And that diagnosis He does save us a lot of money. I'll text him. I need to go with the doctor or just wait this out He's sometimes like just wait it out. So thank you doc Drake had some technical difficulties, so he is not able to join us tonight and Jess is working so That is why half of us are Interesting so we have got some business can you believe that I'm so excited for this business?
Love business. Hey and the business we have been trying and trying and trying all winter long come up with an event We've we like to have something right around the end of January give you some time to recuperate from Christmas early February at the latest But we've had we had one venue that we thought was open and it wasn't and so then we scrambled for a second Not scrambled but then we went to a second venue and we had to kind of go back and forth on On some dates on that one and after a couple weeks ago back and forth they called and said sorry We actually have to close now for at least two months maybe forever So it's we haven't been dragging our feet just had trouble locking one down and there's events we can go to outside It's just you cold for outside. Yeah, it's harder and harder to find good indoor events and we're we continue to look if you've got any ideas Let us know we've had some suggestions from some of our listeners and When that happens we you know we'll contact people and see if we get to them sometimes we can sometimes we can't we actually have a new venue Which is a dinner and show we just that needs a little time to set up and we have the time to devote to getting that Set up yet, but that will be coming soon So that would be a smaller only, you know fewer fewer people being able to attend that one But if it's successful we might be able to do it multiple nights And if that's a place that I'm thinking of it is definitely you don't want to miss out that it but maybe the most compelling Manipulation of flashlights I've ever seen in my entire career doing this Absolutely I've only had flashlights work for me this well twice and the first time was when we very first started in 2012 and When we went to this place, I would say turn the green flashlight on boom it would come on immediately turn the red flashlight on boom Immediately I would say okay turn them both on but I mean it did everything I asked immediately work better than my smart devices in my house I mean it was incredible anyway, but we're dragging the sound everyone's waiting for our actual scheduled event We're gonna go to one of our favorite places ever Petitini school and museum in pacing Utah and that's gonna be on March 16th at 8 30 to midnight and It's a it's a great venue for the those of you who have been with us before It's as you know, it's worth going again if you haven't been it's a great venue. It's historic.
It's got lots of trigger items It's got lots of historic stuff and built in like 1901 Okay, you know you went to school It says 1901 on the building. I think you're right. I think it's like you know, so I was right. Oh wow Hey, I've got it on tape too That's gonna cut from the podcast for some reason.

So it's not a I will say Petitini the first time that I went there with you guys I bought tickets and yeah, I was I went I went there and Screams in the basement we got that crazy scream down there And then the second time I got to lead a group down there and they saw full body apparition six of them all saw it They turned wide as ghosts and then they were very impressed when I just decided to walk in there and make sure it wasn't like, you know Homeless person something I don't know so I don't think we've ever gone without people having some kind of experience No, and you know and here's the thing about going we tried to shake it up We don't want to go, you know We don't want to be a two or three trick pony and just go to the same place is over and over and over again We try to bring in new things we try to keep the variety But even when you go someplace over and over you never have the same experience twice I was there with you when we heard the scream whiskey and then the next time we went which was I think the last time same spot In fact, I went there hoping we hear the scream again same spot, but we had lights go off That we could be some lights. Hmm.
I couldn't explain why they went off when and talked to Dave over it And he's like he's phenomenal. Yeah, he's like if those lights turn off these day off for two minutes He says there's no way they can only stay off for what was it just like maybe eight seconds or something? Yeah, they just turned off and on and he says that's not awesome. It makes sense I've had people see full-body apparitions there.
I mean you could go there 15 times and have 15 different experiences So I'm looking forward to it It'll be fun and I'm gonna go to that spot in the basement because something crazy always happens there Yeah, it is a phenomenal event. We'll be working on some more events too So we get you lined up for this spring and summer like Raven said it's we're having a harder time getting some inside events That's one of the nice things about the spring and summer We've got some more opportunities for some some fun events that we're looking at but we do still have a whole lineup of new places It's just a little trickier to get those coordinated the first time so yep The business has been bought brought to you by who? Okay, residential It's kind of starting to pick up We actually have had two since we recorded last we had one that we had to reschedule and then I have two more So right now we have three scheduled which we will talk about our next podcast one is my mom's house So that will be fun, but let's talk about the two that we did with gambling you go first because your expertise will explain this much better than me I'll sound like a caveman. You'll sound like you're talking about Yeah, I mean I might sound like a caveman to me find ghost in house So this was a this was a two-parter the first we did we talk about this last time did we we did yeah? We did yeah, so if you have a talk about that go back to the last episode of supernatural arm you'll hear talk about that but we ended up going back They still felt kind of uneasy nothing Super wild reporting they did you know see kind of something or somebody standing at the edge of their bed at one point It kind of shook him up a little bit Which is totally fair But one thing we noticed when we were there before and I don't know if we talked about this too much But there was just a lot of emf in the house from all the lamps lighting all their different plants in there They had a lot you know they had a lot coming from that like was it an air purifier in her bedroom Yeah, so based off the reports we actually went back in there into the room because that's where the only spot where my client Had said anything about and right next to the head of their bed was this air purifier that was just Humping out emf like really really high levels and I've mentioned it before but people can perceive that what it relates to like how your brain actually Comprehends and and lets you know that it's perceiving that varies greatly But we know for a fact scientifically we can be influenced and detect magnetic fields So it's very possible that that's what was making them have this issue and that the interesting part was the space where they saw The person was also a space with high emf which was coming from a little aquarium pump Which is actually kind of surprising to me that amount yeah when I go into a room I'll take the emf detector and just kind of see where the ambient you know what it is in the room and you'll see what It's putting out and I'll just I'll just scan it over everything when I went past that aquarium It was on those little teeny tiny ones that every kid has in their room and it just spiked I was like oh Yeah, I don't think it was the goldfish in there can't say for sure.
I'm pretty sure it was the aquarium pump It wasn't a goldfish. Yeah, yeah Alrighty we know for a fact just from different studies that have been done that people feel like they're being watched when exposed to high Levels of emf certain people are more sensitive than others all of those things combined We kind of recommended that hey Let's maybe move the air purifier not right next to the head of your bed I'm sure in the idea of it it it works really well But let's just try that we haven't got a call back since no I haven't heard anything back Maybe worked so we had another one that was very interesting the client called and said that she was having some activity They could see shadows moving. They just you know feel ominous. They her daughter was would be affected by this She felt the entity would do things on her phone and so she called us and she was very nervous when we got there She didn't even want to be in the house.
You know She said I'm just gonna be outside and I said that's fine And I did tell her you know Sometimes the spirit only wants to talk to you or we'll talk to the homeowner better because they know you better You know that's the case Well, you know and she really didn't want to and the spirit didn't want to talk to her so that Now that it didn't want to talk to her but it communicated with us just fine the interesting thing about this house is It was an apartment and it was main level So there was an apartment above it and we went into the kitchen and whiskey I think you noticed it first that there were some pans moving yeah Well, we were actually when she was still in there talking to us I looked over and I just thought one pie It's it's hanging from chains. This thing is holding all the pots and pans maybe we can post picture later So initially I'm like oh well, that's we walked in you know the door shot. What is it? But only one pan started swinging right and just a clarify they weren't hanging from individual chains It was like a pot rack so they're all attached to the same pot rack So it was like a hanging pot rack over an island or something against a wall is hanging from the ceiling But they were all on the same it's not like they're all on they're on the same pot rack shelf kind of yeah So if one move they would have all moved okay Yeah, and so just just one was moving and I got in Chrissy's attention like hey Did you notice that I was swinging earlier?
She didn't and while we're standing there watching another one starts swinging just just one sound There's just two and then they would both stop randomly we I won't point think we saw four swinging at different rates at starting at different times Yeah, and I first we thought oh, maybe someone you know bumped in and didn't realize it But you know we'd stop them and yeah, and you know in the debunking process You think to yourself well, maybe someone walking upstairs, you know Just cause some motion and cause but they would they weren't all moving yeah We'd smack the chains to holding the whole entire thing up and we could not get it to swing just one We would try to swing them ourselves and it wouldn't swing at the same rate It was literally like a perfect pendulum. It was the strangest thing but that did draws into the kitchen Yeah, so we spent a good hefty amount of time in the kitchen We got we got some intelligent response in the kitchen At one point I did wrongfully pick a fight with this spirit. We found out later in the investigation So we'll get to that part But I was being kind of rough and brought out some sage and that really set off a lot of equipment when we brought that out in the In the kitchen in particular yeah, and then yeah the cat balls that we use we were getting some pretty good It was turning the cat balls on fairly regularly. Yeah, then moon kind of wandered back into the back bedroom And honestly I want to kind of keep this delicate because with our clients We like to keep things anonymous anonymous and you know, it's not our business But there were some things in the back bedroom that could lead for some negative spirit attention and so you know we got some activity back in there and Because of some things we determined that the spirit that we thought was an antagonizer was actually a protector spirit You know after we kind of assessed the situation and you know kind of double checked it with each other because we kind of split up a Little bit here and there not a very big apartment so everyone could kind of hear what everyone was doing And then you know we went out and spoke with a homeowner and as delicate as we could kind of told her that you know There are certain activities or certain things that could draw a more negative energy in with you And if you've ever gotten one of our pamphlets, I mean those can range anywhere from alcoholism drug use abuse You know heavy depression, you know, not wanting to forgive I mean there's there's a whole you know anything that's going to maybe make you more susceptible in whatever way And she had she had some of those that were that were evident and so we just explained her You know just to take a good, you know reflection Inter do some inner searching of things going on in your life and determine have something you know falls under one of these categories And could be eliminated to help because we I mean we cleanse the apartment But unless the unless the root cause is snuffed out, it's just gonna return so we haven't heard back from her But hopefully everything's going okay.
We did get one pretty good piece of evidence though on camera in there Yes, I forgot about that Yeah, so we we went into a bedroom Which was kind of hard to open for some reason and when we got in there It felt very different than the rest of the house. It was brighter in there I mean that the window lit up the room so I mean that could maybe contribute to that feeling but I brought the teddy bear out We just kind of sat in there and it was it was the kids room. Okay, wait a minute. Wait a minute You brought the teddy bear out now.
What does that mean? Exactly what I said. I brought the teddy bear out. So I have a little teddy bear It's got some lights in it's essentially like a REM pod but inside of a teddy bear I won't get into the specifics of how it got inside the teddy bear, but it's in there and When we turn it on if anything interrupts the field around it It will be however the teddy bear isn't as sensitive as my other equipment It takes a lot to set it off even as a person I have to get pretty close almost touching the teddy bear directly to set it off So with that in mind I put it out we haven't really see it We've seen it go off once actually which is at the diner that we talked about the beginning episode That's the only time I've seen it go off in an unexplainable way But I'd like to bring it out anyways and in this video we have we'll have to get it up on TikTok or somewhere We're all in the room and a hat ball lights up And it's just after I talked about the teddy bear I put down and then the teddy bear knocks over The only person that was moving at the time was Chrissy And so you can see in the camera we actually have her walk back in the room We set the teddy bear back up She's jumping right next to it walking in and out of the room trying to see if maybe that's somehow influenced I mean she's moving around so much the static from her shoes actually set off one of the amounts at a certain point in our You know attempts to debunk it So whatever was in there was actually capable of moving an object which we saw in the kitchen and then we saw With a separate object that is not you know paying from the roof just in the middle of the room not over freely Cool and you can tell that it wasn't that you'd set it down and it just wasn't very stable and just fell over because It had been sitting there for a long time before it fell over and the timing with the cap all was Pretty interesting.
Yes, absolutely So yeah, there's a third one that Castle and I have been doing we've talked about this a while ago It's kind of an ongoing investigation still hasn't cleared up So I don't want to give out a whole lot of information, but it is very interesting. This is one that In my opinion is Probably the closest to an infestation demonic infestation that I've worked with in a very long time and When we were there long story short the person that's being kind of attacked left the residents and Castle and I went into a different area of the home And it's interesting because this is one where the upstairs part of the home is being protected heavily and where the infestation is taking place Is in a separate part of the house and when you walk into that separate part of the house I mean it's like you're walking through a force field I mean it's palpable and I had something interesting happen to me there that I've never a couple interesting This is the first time I've seen a type three which I saw the first time we were there This was the second time as we were coming up the stairs It's almost like the air that was downstairs couldn't even be in the upstairs part of the house because as I walked through kind of the For lack of a better word the threshold of where the protection starts It's like the air in my lungs couldn't even be upstairs because I had as I crossed the threshold It's like the air that was in my lungs was held back It's almost like I could feel it being pulled out my back and when I stepped into the protected part of the house I literally had gasps because I had no air in my lungs. It was Really bizarre Anyway, again, this is an ongoing investigation very very delicate So I don't want to talk too much about it yet as I can I will be giving out a little bit more information because it's very interesting But yeah, this is you know We've run into type three use and we've talked a little bit about you know most of them are pretty weak You know, you get loosey that's a little bit stronger Larry that's a little bit stronger But these these are very strong and they have attacked a very susceptible individual and Definitely without a doubt in my mind in the infestation phase and and he's fighting it and everybody's fighting it But once they get to this point they can be a lot harder to get out than just some sage and salt So we will keep you up to date on that one as as we can and along with that the subject of that infestation Also has to be in the right mindset to Have it work to have the to have the cleansing or with a cleansing can work To stop the progress of the right of the infestation and this I mean this is just in general This isn't specific to the family But if you get to the point, you know, there's there's invitation and then and this is why we tell you public events Do not invite spirits home because that's the invitation and then it turns or play with wechy boards or other things that invite In this case, it's very much in the tormenting phase And yeah, the person who's being tormented has to be ready to do what it takes to To stop that step from progressing into possession and it's not this case But in many cases like this the invitation isn't the purposeful invitation. It's not like oh wow I would show like some demons to come and Because they approach was a friend they approach you as you know buddy Someone's gonna help you someone's gonna give you things, but the problem is they will give you stuff But they're gonna want stuff in return.
They don't freely give and what they want return. You're not gonna like ever So you know that they don't want, you know homemade cookies They don't want, you know, someone could go to the movie with them. I have not been to their new location. I've been to their old location. Okay, the one that was across the street Yeah, across the street now a little bit. Yeah So yeah, if you haven't been there if you're in Utah, you have to go there You got to my son actually either for the first time last week and he's like, that's so good And here's the thing the owner, you know, asked him he actually works there off and on my son and the owner said You know, what do you want in my sense?
Like, well, I don't know what's good and the owner goes your mom always gets the melote So let's get to them on the heave and those ones I say I go there so often they know what I get I could probably just say the usual at this point in fact the next time I go there I'm gonna tell the waiter Tell Mosey that I want my usual. I'm gonna see what I get anyway, it could be interesting Yeah, we need to go there. Fantastic get the melote By the time you hear this it should be I guess president stays Monday, and you're not gonna hear this till Wednesday But it's just kind of presidency week. We're just gonna kind of stretch it all out At least for the good president's not the bad president's they don't get to have presidency So we're gonna talk about Abe Lincoln's ghost train and just kind of Abe Lincoln's ghost in general because there's some fun Abe Lincoln ghost I think you know if you were to say White House ghosts I think everybody has heard Abe Lincoln ghost stories and we need to do is just do an episode on White House ghost one of these days They go do that.
There is an older one that we did we did one election year. I don't know it was four or five years back I mean we're doing this one. Well, we need to do it again. Oh, I'm not disagreeing with you Yeah, I don't even I mean apparently I did it and I don't even know you did it so but it's been well back Maybe I have something to add this time, you know Exactly just a little different dynamics different people, but we're gonna talk about specifically Abe Lincoln because he was one of the great residents Yeah, I don't think and I don't think many people would just be done fun fact partially fun fact half fun fact My birthday is on the same month and day as the day he was assassinated so Half of that fact is fun Well, you know my son was born the day before that so he was his half-fun fact is that he was born on the same day the Titanic sunk so I'm probably on the day at the bottom Right, so let's let's talk a little bit about the actual train before we get to the ghost part because there's some interesting things About the train in and of itself.
So you know nowadays there's Air Force one and everyone knows There's an actual Air Force one But any airplane that the president happens to be on is Air Force one right? It's a designation of the plane that the chief executive is Upward and same with marine one for the helicopter and Where there's a designation like that helicopters marine one? I can't remember the others but there are a few other things I mean there is an actual plane that's designated as the president's plane well back in Lincoln's day airplanes weren't really a big thing Oh one more thing about the plane. I heard that oftentimes with Air Force one There's actually three of them.
I mean there's three planes like one and two decoys and two others go out at the same time So no, but back in the day obviously there's no airplanes in Lincoln's time So they kind of had train train locomotive one. It was called the United States It was a luxury steam locomotive and they built it kind of as a civil war was you know coming to an end They could kind of tell that you know it was gonna be over pretty soon And they built it specifically for Abraham Lincoln because they thought you know He's gonna need to travel around the country and unite everybody and give you know speeches to bring everybody back together after this horrible war And they kept on you need to come see it you need to come see it and he wasn't really big on this He didn't want to spend he was a simple man. He didn't want to spend a lot of money He didn't want to make a lot of fuss But they said you know you're the president of the United States. You know the war is over you need to unite everybody Yes cabinet and people around him were saying this needs to be done He was like you said he was not pushing this along.
He wasn't trying to get this cool plane or this cool train for himself He was really downplained. So he finally said fine fine. I will come and see this training I think after a while he realized okay. Yeah, I see why this is necessary.
This will be good thing fine I'll come and see it and so he actually scheduled to go see this train on April 15th Forgive the year 1965 yeah, yeah, he just he felt like there's no reason to spend money on it But finally he said fine. I'll go make I'll go see the strain Well, he never made it to see the strain and the only official first and only official use of the strain was as his funeral train So what they did was so many people loved Lincoln. Okay, little more information about the actual funeral train Yeah, I believe it was nine like seven cars and the locomotive in the caboose So like nine total nine nine cars in the train and I had to have that many people so that there were people that were guarding and people that Chaining shifts and media and taking him in all sorts of things about it Yeah, it was a nine a nine car train. Yes, and it wasn't just him his son William Wallace Lincoln who they called Willie He died of typhoid in 1862 at the age of 11.
He was also they exhumed him Yeah, they'd involved him and then and exhumed him knowing that they were going to take him back to Springfield after their term in presidency Was over yes, and so they just they were taking Lincoln from Washington DC to Springfield, Illinois where he was buried there So this train was just I mean it was state of the art It was fancy they put a lot of money into it Which is one reason why Lincoln wasn't too keen on it because he's like well, that's a lot of money because as we all know he came from pretty simple means and You know again back then they just know technology nowadays they would have been streaming it cameras You probably could have had some camera where you could just watch it all night But he was so loved by the people and so respected by the people that in order for everyone to pay respects as they took The strain they didn't just want a straight route from Washington DC to Springfield, Illinois They kind of did a zigzag you know to kind of hit some of the bigger cities and every time they got to one of these cities They would let the train either sit in the station for 10 15 minutes You know as long as it didn't mess up the train schedules for you other trains And in some of the bigger cities they actually made a stop and they would take his casket off of the train into Like a city hall or something somewhere where people could come and pay their respects Yeah Now the train route was the same route that he used when he came to Washington for his inauguration So they just did it in reverse They said we're gonna go on the same route in which he came and when he came to Washington There was there were a lot of people at that time that were were pro-slavery and anti-lincoln, you know it was a pretty contentious election going into that and so he actually was in carnido in some ways and you know not not on a direct route to Washington DC and he went different ways so that he wouldn't be Discovered coming because of the danger that there could have been for him arriving But they actually made the route in the reverse of the route that when she came So a couple little fun fact another fun about this fun is this whiskey sack Mary Todd Lincoln did not she wasn't on the train She was so distraught and we all know how she is with with death And I mean who does right but she seemed to take a little harder than most so she did not accompany the train home They did have you know you talked about all the the cars with all the people one of the people that they had on the train was an Abalmer who would reen bomb President Lincoln every so often as he got a little peeked because there was no refrigeration Keeping a little fresh. They also had a lot of flowers on board to kind of keep the smell down so Yes, they also had another train that actually went ahead of Lincoln's train about 10 minutes And its purpose was just to kind of survey the tracks make sure there wasn't anything hinky going on if anything's gonna Get blown up. It's gonna be this spotter train and not present Lincoln strain And it also acted as a notice that the president was coming true I was you know about ten minutes away from so yeah, they had what they called us a Pilot pilot Conduction pilot train kind of a We're coming up the pilot cars that come before the wide-blown to get a pilot train Hey, there's a big load coming a we got a train come sometimes when I make up stuff it sounds really lame That would have been one of those times, but we'll just we'll just go with it So it's interesting just this exact motion. It's not 1700 miles from Washington DC to Springfield, Illinois But the route they took it was just like I don't 15 inch miles short of 1700 miles, so it went quite a ways There were a lot of people that were very interested in seeing it and people showed up at every venue at every stop in droves And even interesting story about why there's only one photograph of Lincoln in his coffin.
Mm-hmm. Yeah, the Mary Todd Lincoln President Lincoln's wife did not want any photography of him So there aren't any pictures even at the casket in the White House or anything during this time there's pictures outside and there's pictures of the procession and the train and those kinds of things, but there are no pictures of the assassinated president Lincoln and one of the the guys that was in charge of it he was one of the secretaries for president Lincoln and Mary Todd Lincoln had given him instructions that she didn't want that and then he basically was the one that planned out the whole trip and the stops and how it was all gonna go and As they were going through there were a couple of there was a general in an admiral I believe that were there with him that when they would go in a different stops and do that and a photographer at one of the stops I think it was in Indiana might have been in Michigan or someplace. I don't remember anyway asked if he could take a picture and The general said you can take two slides and they were basically the same slide You know it was the same one they'd done two different plates of it and in this you can see the general And I think it was the Admiral with the other man standing at attention color guard with the casket and you can actually see President Lincoln in the casket with the casket open and it's back from a ways It's you know the the people in the photograph you can identify who they are, but you know, it's not anywhere near close up And it's pretty grainy. I mean it's 1865 photography But it was it was really interesting the general had then reported back to The secretary that was responsible for all of this that he'd done that and they demanded that they get those photographs and so they went back to the photographer and got the photographic plates and the photographs and and all of the stuff and It was given to the secretary to the to the guy that was in charge of the funeral And he destroyed all the photographs and the plates except for one and he had put it in his personal papers And then later as he passed they had he'd given them to another person that was in the administration that was familiar with a Ham Lincoln and this person's well enough known that He donated his personal effects to a library to a school, you know a big school university I don't remember which one a guy was doing some research on Lincoln and knew about these papers and went through and found this photograph And this was in the 18 or in the 1950s like 1953 in 1954 where this photograph was identified And he found it and goes I know what this is because he'd seen pictures of the coffin from the outside shots and everything else and you can identify When I say the coffin and there are these two, you know military men standing at guard and there is the coffin with you know Abraham Lincoln's body and it's grainy, but you can tell that it's Abraham Lincoln And so that is the only existing photograph of Abraham Lincoln after his assassination So you know they're getting to Springfield they're getting in charge everything's happy.
I'm not happy, but Going as planned going as planned. So the history of the train after that is kind of spotty We don't know exactly everything and it's not very pretty It was actually put on sale before it even reached Springfield with the president and his son in it and it ended up being purchased by the Union Pacific Was this the whole train or just the probably just the car the car that the president's was yeah And that's that's an interesting story too because that was being built exclusively for President Lincoln. Yes, and it was almost completed. It hadn't been completed It was almost completed and he'd never use it yet Yes And they went in and basically stripped out a lot of the stuff on the insides to make it to be the funeral car Mm-hmm because it was you know, that's not what it was originally designed as right So when the Union Pacific got it they stripped it down even more and just made it a regular passenger car I mean I'm not fancy at all Eventually it ended up being purchased by private citizen in Minnesota and they had it you know just like in a shed and Eventually it was destroyed by fire in 1911.
So it is no longer around There is a recreation of it which I saw a YouTube video on which is very interesting they had taken all sorts of But you know the photographs and things of the train and they've done a recreation and I think this was like in the 1970s or 1980s And you know they tried to you know get some money donations And I don't know where it is now But it was very interesting because it's what I say is you know what I'm as much a replica of it as they Can make because there's photographs of the train. Oh, yeah, the outside of the train And then I think they kind of because I read something similar They you know decorated the inside of it as best they could based on the time period and what would have been considered opulent Which you know basically Victorian times so very heavy very gaudy and in We would consider gaudy compared to velvet curtains and lots of velvet curtains and colors and you know the darker colors and heavy ornate furniture Anyhow, but that is not the end of the Abraham Lincoln story It's not so I know we mentioned that the train is called the United States incredibly creative name for the time I don't know anybody could have came up with that The engine that pulled it was actually called the old Nashville And I think that's in a museum somewhere not entirely sure I thought that was interesting another really interesting thing We kind of talked about how he went from stop to stop and they had to do a lot to keep him looking good The conductor of the first leg actually mentioned that it looked like he had just drifted off peacefully into his sleep While they were going just for that first bit of the journey Which is to me kind of a wild thought I don't know how much embalming has advanced over the years But be shot in the head and look like you're peaceful whoever did the work there probably did a great job Oh, absolutely well with what was going on with the Civil War and everything else embalming had been quite a An up and coming practice before before the Civil War it hadn't been a very mainstream thing But with a lot of these boys and then being killed a lot of the more wealthy families wanted their sons returned back and so embalming became quite a Practice they said maybe over 40,000 soldiers had been involved and shipped back home Well, yeah, but you have to save yourself. They were still in the early stages because they had to continually embalm him You know as they were on this on the strip which I found interesting. I think if a mortician had to continuously embalm now They probably got fired because they're probably not doing something right But I think the most interesting thing is when you talk about Lincoln yes, he's known for in the Civil War He's known you know honest aid.
He's known for a lot of things But I think one of the things he's most known for is his ghost train and his ghost sightings So we're gonna get done with the history podcast and we're gonna move to the supernatural Our podcast now you kind of have to give some background about it You can't just jump into the no, I love the history part Yes, there is there is ghostly stuff So I'm just gonna read this because the way that's written is really cool It says the tale is about a mystic counterpart of the funeral train that where Abraham Lincoln's remains from New York City to the west The actual and substantial train passed over the road on a certain day in April 1865 The car that contained the president's remains were heavily draped It is said that on that night every year all of them trainmen that are on the road at a certain hour Here and see and feel the spectra train rushed by them. It sounds hollow and awful It's lights are yellow pale and funeral its train hands and passengers are spectral figures It looks like the outline of a train at every detail is perfect Those who have seen it say though They felt it was only a vision that man could walk through if he dared or throw a stone through it seems perfect in everything but substantiousness It even carries with it a world of wind as fast as trains do but it is a cold clammy grave like atmosphere all its own as it passes Another train the shriek of its whistle and cling of its male strike terror into the hearts of those that hear them And if you look up, you know, stories of Abraham Lincoln's ghost train most of them happen in the in the New York area Clocks are found to be six minutes slow Some people say that the rails of the tracks kind of glow an eerie blue color Some people say that if if you do see people on the spectral train that they're skeletal They say that the flags and streamers are still rushing, you know, and in the wind And they say it looks exactly like a train would have looked just ghostly And there's also reports of it not just moving down the tracks in different areas along the routes Especially near its anniversary, but also just being at the stops where it had stopped just appearing in station Yeah, and it says that most of them happen around the New York area, but they say they see them all along the route everywhere from Baltimore to Springfield They say New York around the 26th of 27th of April Ohio is around the 28th 29th of April and Illinois the beginning of May And they say you know the interesting thing is sometimes you hear lots of people that see the same ghost story might have a little bit of variation But this one says that it just doesn't vary Even even modern times if I read verbatim it says oddly descriptions of the event don't deviate too much from the original 1800s articles You hear rushing wind on old tracks you hear a train whistle or bell when there's no trains visible an odd headlight appearing a distinct feeling of The way they put it is other in the air just feeling that something's not right Sometimes people say they see the engine some people don't they say they just see his funeral car Some reports are that the air is still in warm others say it's chill and kind of whips you like it's real windy But there's whole groups that now gather in known sighting locations on the anniversary when it should happen just hoping to experience There's also indirect sightings too So around the time there's also reports of people who have been near the railroad tracks and hear the sound of a steam engine coming on the tracks The vibration on the tracks and sometimes just the wind passing by like a train, but they never actually see a train So they attribute those experiences the same thing One thing I think is interesting is as you read these and someone pointed out that With the sighting of this train there's no tragic accidents There's no ancient curses or any you know the of the your typical ghost stories just a train which? you know Made this journey in 1865 due to very very sad circumstances and if you think about it There's a lot of emotion behind us. You know, there's all the emotions from being in a very very bloody deadly Civil war for years and years The Civil War more American lives were lost than all wars combined Yeah, like 600,000 and not just death, but it was brother against brother So there's there's a lot of emotion in there and almost every family was was impacted with death in some way either a cousin the brother or father Just so many people had people that were lost in that war on both sides Absolutely, and then you've got all of the emotions A lot of people don't realize the Civil War was not about ending slavery It was a key component of the war, but it wasn't the whole reason but you've got all those emotions with the slavery which are Absolutely warranted.
There's there's a lot of emotion there and then you have the violent way in which Abraham Lincoln was killed and very public and very violent and so there's just so many things there for emotions And so you know you have to ask is this a ghost train or is it residual Kind of a residual hunting a residual hunting where you're you know where you're just seeing it, you know past their time That it's not interacting with people or is it an actual ghost train? This is a this is an interesting little thing It was very interesting Baltimore was kind of a southern part of the southern state I mean, Maryland Baltimore Right there by DC and everything else they were very concerned when they went to Baltimore for the first stop of how to turn out Would be because they were southern sympathizers many many people in Baltimore I mean you're right there, you know on Virginia and Maryland right there And you know the war had just ended and there was a lot of questions on how the train would be received in Baltimore and people came out And they're always in respect for president Lincoln and that was not expected. They were really quite concerned about what was gonna happen there Yeah, you know occasionally if I'm just gonna read something straight from my notes I tell you I'm just read it as I'm sitting here just kind of skimming the notes that I took and there's something here that just kind of Reminded me of something you said it says where to go It says perhaps it is I'm reading this perhaps it is not the direct association with the death of president Lincoln that causes the haunting It is very likely so much stronger than a nation's emotions for one man who was not nearly as universally admired at the time of his death As he is now perhaps the cause of the specter is the entire collective mourning of the nation Perhaps it was what the president's death train represented. Yeah Yeah, so this is something You know when I first started getting interested in ghosts when people ever asked me What got you interested in ghosts stories of ghost sightings of Abraham Lincoln in White House and his ghost train?
Are definitely some of the early things that caught my attention as far as his ghost stuff And I would I have never been to Washington DC would love to go there I would love to go to the White House would love to stand in Lincoln's Lincoln's bedroom and see his ghost And we're gonna have to do okay. I got to tell the one about okay. Tell the one okay So Winston Churchill right after the war I believe he was in the White House of visiting He had been in taking a bath smoking his cigar in the Lincoln bedroom. He came out of the bath Walked into the bedroom saw the ghost of Abraham Lincoln Tap the ashes off of his cigar and said pardon me.
Mr. President. I believe Oh, I wish I can remember what he said. Yeah, you caught me at a disadvantage They said the ghost of president Lincoln looked over at him kind of laughed and disappeared It's important to note that all he was wearing at that point was the cigar.
Yes Yeah, that's exactly how I went to meet president Lincoln for the first time as a naked What's the guy? Yeah? Stuff Yeah, I got stuff so there's been some conversations in discord about some new paranormal equipment Potentially that we might be interested in having you know after bringing out the teddy bear that we spoke of before this There was some sightings of a piece of paranormal equipment that allows ghosts to ring like a deskbell So me being me making my own so just a little background on kind of what I'm working on here for the team And also Raven is using the latest piece of equipment Some some black like love so you know if you've ever been on an event with me You know that I lose my blacklight about a hundred times a night and I make somebody hold it. I have gloves Can't lose them and they're just on they're just there Hopefully we don't lose any hands on investigations So what I'm looking to do with this is actually integrated into a response device instead of just a device that goes Dean When it detects, you know some magnetic or electric field something that we can actually use for a positive or negative response So I'm programming in a polarity sensor, which is gonna allow us to identify whether it's a positive or negative magnetic energy And what the strength that is and if it hits a certain strength on either end of the spectrum It'll ring the bell the cool part is the bell will also still be able to be physically manipulated And the really nice part about it is since it has the answering device built into it If it's more in the dark we can't really see the little you know plunge around the top of the bell very well If a light goes on and you hear a ding you know that it was triggered by the mechanism that I'm building inside of it However, if no light goes on and you hear the ding that means whatever triggered it was a physical manipulation of the device Which is very interesting So this will be fun. Yeah, it'll be pretty fun.

It's kind of funny We've been kind of intense we've had an intense discussion about war and death and the evils of slavery and everything So we're gonna this is a light story So I teach piano lessons and I have this one little little guy. He's five. He is super cute He's my neighbor And he cannot come to lessons without telling you a story. He's always got a great story He's in kindergarten and there are great stories about the other little kindergarten bullies or whatever So I sit down and I look at him and I said, do you have a story for me today?
And he looked at me like I'd grown a third eye and he's like, no I thought well, okay And so we start the lesson about two notes into a lesson. He turns and looks at me and I thought here it comes So he goes, you know what? He said at school the other day I was telling my friends that you're a ghost hunter and they did not believe me They told me I was a liar and his little face got all sorts of serious And he looked at me with just all the intensity that he could muster and he goes Are you really a ghost hunter? And I look at him when I said yes, I am And right behind if you've ever seen me at an event I usually wear like a little lowercroft, tomb raider, a little bag thing I've kind of upgraded to a pink-lungy tool bag because I can get the stuff easier I don't lose stuff as much and I happen to have it just sitting on a bench behind the piano on this I said see all that stuff.
I said that's all my ghost hunting stuff Well, it's not all of your ghost hunting stuff Well, as far as he was concerned, it was all my ghost hunting stuff And how excited is like, oh, can you show me how it works? And I'm thinking this kid is five and all I need to have happen is for things to light up and roll around and make noises And then this kid doesn't sleep for the next four years and I'm in trouble with his mom So I said, you know what? I said I better not, you know, unless I get your mom's permission But I said I can kind of you know show you a couple things and tell you what they do So we pulled out a couple of the things and I said well, this is this and that is that what we did about three things And he was very happy but I think what I need to do is when he comes to his next lesson, I need to give him some Supernatural hour in advance paranormal stickers I'm giving him some stickers that he can give to his friend But right now I feel they need to go and throw down some little kindergartners because they're being mean to my cute little student So I said you can bring me for show and tell one of these days if you want So I may be show and tell at kindergarten here one of these days So anyway, that is our check the door for today to kind of lighten up the end of your of your podcast hour Alright, stay spooky my home to friends.
