Absent Perfect People
from United Church Gatherings Hosted by Trevor Grindle
"It makes no difference who you are or where you’re from—if you want God and are ready to do as he says, the door is open,” said Peter [Message Translation]. This is the crux of who we are as a church and as a people. You are welcome here. You belong here. And You’ll Never Walk Alone. This requires us to continually open our arms to everyone everywhere, to show the love of Christ to all, to love with abandon, and to be a people who are open and vulnerable with our stories, our selves, and our lives. You will find no perfect people here. We are who we are, and we will walk this road together.
