from Abstract Essay · host Daniel Lucas

ANNA KRIEGBorn and raised in Fargo, North Dakota, Anna went to North Dakota State University for a Bachelor’s of Science in Art emphasizing in painting. She also minored in Public Relations and Advertising, then attended Moorhead Community and Technical College for Certificate of Completion in Graphic Design Technology. Starting out her professional career in marketing in the real estate / home builder world for two years, Anna moved to Phoenix, Arizona in pursuit of exploring her career opportunities and adventures. Living in Phoenix for over seven years now Anna works in marketing and business development for a civil engineering firm. In her free time, Anna spends it hiking, traveling, relaxing with her husband and animals, and painting.  Spending a lot of time outdoors, I get most of my inspiration from plants, animals, landscapes, and meditation. My paintings can vary from realistic to abstract expressionism. I love exploring different ideas, styles, and techniques and viewers will probably notice this in my eclectic portfolio. Usually, my choice in colors or use of thick paint can tie my various ideas/experimental paintings together. I am currently obsessed with the color field movement and for the past decade I have been even more obsessed with Larry Poons' works.  Hosted on Acast. To commemorate James Joyce's mighty novel, Ulysses, we're launching a podcast. Every week you'll find a five-minute mini-essay from me designed to take you through the novel that's on every list of the greatest books ever written. And as Ulysses runs to some 375,000 words, and I mean to go through it sentence by sentence if I have to, in order to convey the full brilliance of this novel - and the enjoyment to be had from it - I'll be podcasting for some time to come! It's such an absorbing book, it's got diamond mines of references, it's so compassionate, so tender, so moving, so funny - and most of us never know that, because most of us have long been daunted by it. No need to be afraid any more - that is, if you make a habit of listening to these podcasts.
