Abu Sama to Lead Wisconsin Running Game | Wisconsin Badgers Football News

Abu Sama, a dynamic transfer from Iowa State, is poised to become Wisconsin’s undisputed running back leader this fall, bringing elite speed, power, and elusiveness to the Badgers’ backfield. With over 1,900 rushing yards and 13 touchdowns in three seasons — often as a backup — Sama’s blend of agility and physicality makes him a rare threat. He’s ranked eighth nationally in tackles avoided and is the only Big Ten player in the top 10, showcasing his uncanny ability to break free. Flanked by versatile backs like Darrion Dupree and physical transfer Bryan Jackson, Wisconsin’s depth and Sama’s breakout potential could ignite a resurgence of the running game — and deliver a thrilling season for Badger fans.
