Accident By Design
from Mr Gee poet · host Mr Gee poet
An Accident by design . All I want is an accident to wear, A mistake embroidered in my make-up, A falsehood to declare, . Ignorance to pump throughout my veins, Clog my arteries with disdain, As my heart seizes with self-abuse, Come taste the chocolate of my pain, . Come soak my skin in menace, Come bathe my soul in prejudice, Then take offence at my defence, But there’s no ref to settle this, . For if we weighed this world against such principles, I’d forever be in want, My scales would forever lie here broken, Unbalanced by eternal wrong, . So why not let this misfortune guide me? Let me woo her & seduce her, I’ll delight her to abide me, And I’ll make a faithful suitor, . We’ll stop fighting & start loving, Stop loving and start fighting, And I’ll slow dance to her religion, Such “love” is so inviting, . Allow me to at least caress my calamity, And claim her with much pride, Clothe my soul with all the hatred, I’m wearing layers of design, . For I’ve never owned anything of value, And no-one values anything I own, So let me hold on to this accident, And keep it close to home, . Born only from flesh & blood, Fashioned by Hate & tempered by Love, Chasing daily desires, The stuff that my dreams were made of, . Kept way down below, Yet dictated from way above, . So how then did I end up here? Given this elaborate choice of neutral gears, Reverse is but a painful contemplation, And Forward? ...Forward the road ain’t clear. It’s just a car-crash waiting to appear. . But if I stay, I’ll go mad. If I make a move, I’ll be hit, Today’s menu has but two options: Yesterday’s crap or Tomorrow’s sh*t! . And I’m wearing this kaleidoscope of Bliss, Only available in monotone, So let me embrace this beautiful accident, And claim it as my own, . (c) Mr Gee
