Accidental Angel

from Agape, Love in Action Hosted by Theresa Mitchell

Sandy Gilbert has been an advocate for seniors' housing rights within the Chindera caravan parks for the past 14 years. Her in-depth knowledge of the aging residents allowed her to be able to direct people on where to find individuals during the 2022 Northern Rivers floods ultimately saving lives. Sandy started a sausage sizzle in one of the caravan parks the day after the floods, this turned into the Chindera community hub that 17 months later is still running and supporting people that are STILL homeless and fighting to rebuild their homes. Sandy lives in Southport yet every day travels into Northern NSW at her own expense to help people. Listen in to the heartbreaking stories of seniors who were stuck in the flood waters and the HELP that is still needed. The Chindera community hub is looking for a new venue to work out of from August, please reach out to them if you can help. https://www.facebook.com/groups/504860801025674/
