Send us Fan MailOn this week's episode we celebrate 50 episodes with a message that strikes at the heart of Accidental Hope: mental health issues and the stigma of seeing a professional therapist. Join Jennifer and her guest, Gary Wardlaw who works as a licensed Marriage and Family therapist, as they discuss the importance of relationships in the wake of trauma, practical steps to take and the hope found in Jesus.Gary Wardlaw is the founder and co-owner of The Relationship Clinic of Waco. He holds a dual license as a Marriage and Family Therapist and as a Professional Counselor in both Texas and Virginia. Gary’s skill development has come from an array of clinical settings. Prior to relocating to Texas, Gary served in a Christian group practice where he primarily provided therapy to couples and families. He also has experience working in adolescent, adult, and geriatric psychiatric units where he provided emergency evaluations and independent mental health exams for court ordered patients. Additionally, he spent several years building mental health programming within the public school systems at elementary, middle, and high school levels. Gary graduated with a Master’s in Marriage and Family Therapy. He also earned a bachelors of science in Mass Communication: Advertising & Public Relations with a minor in Psychology. He has recently developed a passion to combat racism through discussion and education, while helping those who have experienced racism outwardly or systemically through talk-therapy. And although challenging, Gary finds great fulfillment in helping couples and families reconcile current or past hurts that have negatively impact their relationship. He is the proud husband of super star, Brittney Wardlaw. They have 3 gorgeous daughters Anastacia (5), Justice (2), and Mercy (1). After 8 years of marriage, he still pinches himself to make sure he is not dreaming that he has the privilege of being married to his best friend.Learn More about Gary Wardlaw, LMFT, LPC, NCC, please check out the following links:Facebook: https://www.facebook.com/The-Relationship-Clinic-of-Waco-213783486074477/The Relationship ClinicWebsite: https://www.trcwaco.com/Instagram: https://www.instagram.com/trcwaco/Learn more about Jennifer Eikenhorst and Accidental Hope Podcast by visiting: Facebook.com/AccidentalHopeThis show airs on the Blooming Inspired Podcast Network.
