According2Sam #56

from According2Sam Podcast · host Samuel Winchester

The virus crippling the planet at this time in a global pandemic, the one that has shut down the world economy, crashed markets and tanked entire industries, the virus that has spread to over 120 countries and killed over 10,000 people worldwide thus far, that virus began in the Hubei province of the People's Republic of China, in the capital city of Wuhan. Although, if you call this virus a Chinese virus it is xenophobic and racist according to the Chinese government. It "stigmatizes" them, said one Chinese foreign minister. It is not surprising to see the Chinese government play this card and try to divert responsibility for the spread of this disease, but it is astonishing to see the media in the United States assist the Chinese government in this endeavor. It is like the American media is the propaganda arm of the Chinese government. How much influence does China have in American media, sports, and entertainment, and how does that influence work to sanitize the image of China in the minds of the American public?
