Yesterday I tweeted “Try being an accountable person and in your moment of accountability the person tries to flip that on you and build everything centered around you admitting your faults. I think the fuck not”. Accountability is defined as “the fact or condition of being accountable; responsibility”. Naturally, I’m an accountable person yet I’ve encountered some narcissistic people during my journey of life and that have posed as “my friend”. Hence the tweet, that stemmed from a series of tweet exchanges between an ex best friend and I. In a previous episode, “emotional intelligence” I shared the last experience that caused a long term, on again, off again friendship that ended and a WHOLE YEAR later, I’m circling back to this conversation. For a year, I was unable to communicate how I felt to her because she would block me after her response but as the good internet people would say, “I got time today”. Honesty moment, I considered re-recording this podcast because I didn’t want it to seem as a rant but after listening with intent, being impeccable with my words, I still remained my EQ and I’m just here to say you can respectfully let a person know where they had you fucked up at and still practice emotional intelligence at the same damn time.
