Acid Camp Vol. 115 — Eugenia

from Acid Camp Podcast · host Acid Camp

Follow @eeeeeeeugenia Eugenia is an Italian, Bay-Area based DJ. Through her sets, she works to create a space for vibrant expression and self-reflection. Her selections consist of an intersection of stripped down house, electro, and atmospheric techno, but she doesn’t like to be constricted by genre — rather, by feeling (and a tight groove.) In her day-to-day, she is a medical researcher and poet, curious to draw a thread through seemingly disparate disciplines. Her Acid Camp mix is influenced by the texture and energy contrast which has been the basis much of her recent work on and off the dance floor: that of the soft/tender versus the sharp/harsh. It features broken beats which have lifted her up in unexpected moments at the rave, and euphoric atmospheres which have rounded out the edges. The femme artists she has had the pleasure of seeing perform and work with over the last year have been a huge source of influence for this mix.
