Acoustic Mass - Erotica

This Month on Acoustic Mass we are playing one album per show to showcase the genius of each artist's music, songwriting and concept as a whole album. I will be playing the entire album in order. This is one of her most underrated albums.These days, people buy this song and that song because they like them, and rarely buy entire albums and therefore rarely experience them as a whole work of art.Tonight's show we're featuring Madonna's 1992 album Erotica which was not well-received at the time due to her accompanying release of her erotic book, SEX which featured nudity (hers and others) as well as bondage, S&M and exploration of other forms fo sex including homosexuality. The album is a reflection of all of this and is brilliant due to its combination of pop, jazz, and blues all in one modern (for its time) new sound. I hope you enjoy it. My favorite tracks are Secret Garden, Rain, Erotica, Bad Girl, Deeper and Deeper, Why's It So Hard, Bye Bye Baby and In This Life.
