Across The Airwaves Episode 108 (Standard) "Sending a White Tulip to Fringe"
from Across the Airwaves Podcast (Standard MP3) · host Dan Schmidt & Nico Reifsteck
Hey ATA listeners, hope springs eternal as we say goodbye to Fringe, one of the first shows we reviewed on Across the Airwaves by sending it a “White Tulip” with our heartstring tugging discussion on the Series Finale. Hope and Forgiveness pervade our discussions this week as we discuss Castle and how Jon Huertas' performance allowed us to forgive the Castle writers for a lackluster mystery this week due to the pure force of his acting will saving a weak mystery with a strong side plot and hope for a better mystery next week. In Go On's Goal Doll episode we discuss the need for forgiveness as Ryan ditches Carrie for her friend, but how she later forgives him when he ditches the friend to spend time with her instead. Cass seeks forgiveness for his sins from Season 6 by trying to heal the wounds of Sam and Deans relationship in our Supernatural discussion. Finally, we discuss Walter's sacrifice and redemption in the Fringe Series Finale and we discuss our hopes for a show to fill the void left by the loss of this great show. We wrap up the show with our Airwaves Rundown Section that includes How I Met Your Mother, New Girl, Justified, Arrow, and the penultimate episode of Last Resort. There's also some sad news in the News with Nico section as we learn that another ATA favorite has been cancelled, but hope springs eternal as we discuss how this could be a good thing for our other favorite shows as these actors are now free to join other projects. Join us for a great discussion that we Hope you will enjoy and won't force us to ask you for Forgiveness next week.
