TRANSCRIPT · AUTO-GENERATED

Welcome to the Daily Grateful. I'm Michael Gross. Today, oh, today, we're going to talk, because I had a special request for this, on how to write a memoir using chat GPT. Can we do that?

We'll talk about it. So the question is, can I get chat GPT to write my memoir? No, well, I guess you technically you could, but you don't want to. Okay, you want original writing, but chat GPT is a marvelous tool for writing.

I use it constantly in writing, but I don't have it right for me. Okay, yes, I will have it right. It didn't look any things for me. Like the description to this podcast that you will see if you go online to listen to this podcast.

I can guarantee you that chat GPT will have written that whole description for me. And that's fine. It's, you know, but if I were writing a book, I'm not letting chat GPT do it. But I will say, I would, here's what I would do.

I would say, please write me an outline for my memoir. I am a 67 year old woman. I have lived, or I was born in Oakland, California, raised in Wichita, Kansas, went to school at this school or this college or whatever. And I've been married three times and whatever, you know, just put as much information as there as you can then just say, please write a 12 chapter outline for me.

And you know, label each chapter. The more you write into there, it will pop up all kinds of things for you. It'll pop up an outline for you. It'll, you know, and then the next thing I would do is please name my memoir and you would put your name in there and give me five or eight different variations of a name for the memoir.

It will do that for you. It'll give you all kinds of suggestions. And if you're not happy with those, just say, I'm not happy with these. Could you give me seven more?

And it will. It's just really cool on doing that. And then you can ask it to clarify your memoir steam and it will do that. It'll start by identifying the central message of your memoir, which you've already put into that description a little bit.

Outline key life events, which you've kind of done. And then you can ask it to help you generate detailed scenes. Say you were going to talk about something really rotten that happened at homecoming, that you don't, you know, that you don't even wanna think about. And, but you can, you know, you can put that in there and have them help you expand on that, all right?

And use dialogue to bring some of the moments of your life to light. Just say, you know, talk about how I got along with my father or whatever. When it's all done, you've got your 12 chapters there. Say, you know, we're gonna write 12 chapters.

Then you go back and you say, please write an outline for chapter one because it's already named chapter one. So you're using this. So now it's gonna write an outline. So when you go to start writing your chapter one, you can look at that outline and get all kinds of good ideas.

So you can, you can do all of these things with chat GPT. It is absolutely incredible. And don't stop there, okay? When it's all done, when the book is all done, you can then go to another AI called Notebook LE, I believe it is called, which is run by Google.

And you can take your entire transcript of your book and you can load it on to there and you can ask Notebook to give you an analysis of it or to edit it, to do all kinds of things. And here's a really cool thing. You can ask it to create a podcast about your memoir. There's a little button up there that you can do.

This is gonna blow your mind. You will then hear a podcast with a male and a female voice talking all about your memoir. And they're gonna go over a chapter by chapter. And I think they do 20 minutes.

So you can have like a 20 minute podcast. Maybe they can do longer. I'm not sure. I haven't played with it enough yet.

I'm going to be releasing an episode of The Daily Grateful here very soon using that technology. But it will then make a podcast for you. And so then you take that podcast and you release it as a podcast, you release it as a podcast using Spotify for podcasters or even YouTube. If you do it on YouTube, you're gonna have to add some pictures to it and do a little bit of editing.

But that is how you do it. It's relatively simple, but you can make it even more complex. And then when you're done with all of it, you've written everything, you've made the podcast about it. You can go into chat TPT and say, all right, I'm going to self publish this on Amazon KDP.

Can you please give me seven suggestions on how to market it? And it already knows what your memoir is about. It already knows a bunch of keywords about it. So it will write you seven different ways to publicize your book and to get people to go to Amazon and buy it.

It is quite a thing to use. It is something I use all the time. I'm going to use it right now to write a newsletter that I write for every Wednesday and release every Wednesday. It's that good.

So enjoy. If you have any questions, drop me a line, michaelcroose at gmail.com, and I'll answer them for you. Have a great day, everybody.
