Acts 13

Paul and Barnabas's commissioning from Antioch launches the first missionary journey while Paul's sermon in Pisidian Antioch demonstrates how to present Christ from Old Testament scriptures. The Jewish rejection and Gentile acceptance of the gospel fulfills the pattern Jesus predicted and Isaiah prophesied about light to the nations. Paul's declaration of turning to the Gentiles establishes the missionary strategy that will characterize his ministry.
