Their warm welcome shows how completely they have forgiven him for his history as a persecutor of the church, present and assenting to the murder of the martyr Stephen. Simply, the believers love Paul. // // These brothers and sisters in Christ warn Paul of the risks he faces, pursuing his course; these warnings are based on revelation from the Holy Spirit. Nevertheless, Paul single-mindedly continues as he believes he must, to share the gospel to many nations, even at the risk of his own life. Paul is committed to the mission.
