Acts 9 CEB (Common English Bible)

Here we all are talking about Saul again. This thing that happens in this chapter Saul on the road to Damascus is something that’s gonna come up again and again throughout the whole book of acts there are two instances of a event being reported over and over again in the book of act, this one is the most extreme example. The other example is in chapter 10 in which Peter‘s vision and Cornelius‘s angel appearance are told over and over again in a few chapters so when you memorize chapter 9, and you memorize souls experience on the road to Damascus, you have to try to remember which words this experience uses also in this chapter we learn a little bit about God strategy for his enemies. If God has an enemy, he recruits the enemy to be his messenger. Wow. I thought a lot about this idea of. I will show him how much he must suffer for the sake of my name and the more I think about it the more I realize that God was giving him a blessing to be able to suffer for the sake of his name because even earlier in the book of acts, the apostles left the council rejoicing because they had been considered as worthy to suffer disgrace for the sake of the name so maybe this is a way of Lukerelating how God has deemed so worthy, even though he feels so unworthy
