This event is a reversal of the Tower of Babel, uniting people from different nations by enabling the apostles to speak in various tongues, allowing everyone to hear the gospel in their own language. The fire signifies God's presence, holiness, and purification, echoing His appearances throughout the Old Testament, from Moses' burning bush to the fire on Mount Sinai. Believers are now the temple of God, carrying His presence into the world, signifying a new covenant where the Spirit dwells within His people.
