Acts of Courage: 9/11 and Throughout American History

from Rose Unplugged · host Rose Unplugged

"No greater love has any man than this - that a man should lay down his life for a friend." Jahn 15:13 I want to dedicate this episode to Leslie, and the other amazing first responders, law enforcement and veterans I spoke to at the "Permission to Start Dreaming Foundation" Prayer Breakfast in Gig Harbor, Washington over the weekend. https://ptsdfoundation.org In this episode I share some astonishing acts of courage demonstrated by Americans throughout history.; 9/11, Revolutionary War times, World War II, and more. Amazing stories. Astounding 9/11 stories revisited as we consider what it means to lay down one's life for a friend. Even greater love - for someone we don't even know. We must never forget. Is laying down our life more than we think it is? Shouldn't we be laying down our lives in that we give of our time, our resources and our energy to those in need? To lay aside our desires and ambitions - even for a moment - to meet the needs of others.
