Democratic Congressman Adam Schiff of California is a man with a virtual target on his back from MAGA Republicans. He was thrown off the Intelligence Committee by Speaker Kevin McCarthy. Which kind of works for him, because it gives him more time to campaign for the Senate to replace Dianne Feinstein when her term ends at the beginning of 2025.  Congressman Schiff was a major player in efforts by the Congress to hold Donald Trump accountable including being Impeachment Manager on Trump's first impeachment and as Chairman of the House Intelligence Committee.
