Stefan's early music as Terrace helped kickstart the ultra-legendary Djax-up-Beats Records, one of the all-time top techno labels. In conversation with Adam, Stefan discusses his entry into the techno scene in Holland in the late 80s, his discovery and interest in the early days of Chicago house and Detroit techno, his many works on Djax-up-Beats as Terrace and Acid Junkies, and the startup of his own label, Eevolute, in the early 90s. Stefan also talks about his recordings for other legendary labels such as General Production Recordings (GPR) in England, his works on Carl Craig's Planet E imprint in Detroit, and his visit there as a foreigner in the very early 90s, when the city was in a near state of abandonment. They also delve deep into the conversation about music production, exploring its past, present, and future.
