ADAPTATION: Why Zion Williamson Must CHANGE for Derik Queen & the Pelicans to CONTEND

Zion Williamson's future with the New Orleans Pelicans hangs in the balance—can he and rookie Derik Queen truly form a winning duo? Jake Madison breaks down why the onus is on Zion to adapt—expanding his off-ball movement, stepping up defensively, and finally developing that jumper—to unlock this frontcourt pairing’s full potential and define the next phase of his NBA career.   The episode also examines New Orleans' stalled pursuit of Bennedict Mathurin despite shifting NBA trade winds, and spotlights the latest NBA 2K27 player ratings. Insights include Trey Murphy III edging out Zion in 2K’s top 100, cap management decisions shaping the Pelicans’ roster, and whether star power or depth will carry the team. Will Zion rise to the challenge, or is a changing of the guard already underway in New Orleans?   Follow & Subscribe on all Podcast platforms 🎧 https://lockedonpodcasts.com/podcasts/locked-on-pelicans/   Locked On NBA League-Wide: Every Team, Fantasy, Draft, WNBA & More 🎧 https://lockedonpodcasts.com/leagues/nba #NewOrleansPelicans #ZionWilliamson #NBA #pelicans     Support Us By Supporting Our Sponsors!
