Addiction- Root Causes and Allowing Transcendence

This subject is and always will be near and dear to my heart because recovering from addiction was the beginning of my awakening in this life. I have lived through this in many ways, in being the addict and also in being the child of an addict and both parents having many different issues in this realm. This is a hard subject for most but it is I believe one of the worst issues on this planet if not THE worst issue. Yet my stance with recovery is much different than it was when I first began the journey in recovering. I believe that if ALL of our layers are treated and we truly do get to the root causes of our addictions that we can transcend what it was we were addicted to…but this does not mean that we ever drink or use drugs again. Let me know if you have also had these experiences and also please go get some real help from a support group that specializes in your particular addiction if you are currently suffering. There truly is always a way out but you’ve gotta take that first step!
