Addressing Affordability, Investment in Green Technology, and Latest on Russia-Ukraine

We begin with reaction to the release of the 2023 Federal Budget. We speak with Meaghon Reid, Executive Director of “Vibrant Communities Calgary” for her thoughts on whether the budget effectively addresses affordability issues in Canada and specifically here in Calgary. A large portion of the new budget focuses on the investment in green technology. We discuss what sort of an impact the announcement will have on the monthly utility bills of average Canadians, with Francis Bradley, CEO of “Electricity Canada”. Finally, earlier this week Russia revealed plans to station ‘tactical’ nuclear weapons in Belarus. We get a latest on the war in Ukraine from Andrew Rasiulis, Fellow at the Canadian Global Affairs Institute.
