Adele rode competitively as a junior and throughout college but then took a break from the sport while pursuing several other interests. Adele earned a Master’s Degree in Education and taught for several years. Later, Adele worked as an international yacht racing photographer and owned a catering company that provisioned sailing yachts for racing. Adele then moved to Denmark where she owned a restaurant for almost 10 years. When Adele moved back to the States, she found herself back in the horse world working for Saratoga Polo and later for Skidmore College. Adele began riding and competing again, and in 1998, she started the Saratoga Classic Horse Shows.
