Adhamma Sutta

from Dhamma Audio · host Sugata Vinayo

Adhamma Sutta“Unrighteousness, bhikkhus, is to be known, and what is unbeneficial; righteousness is to be known, and what is beneficial. Having known unrighteousness and what is unbeneficial, and having known righteousness and what is beneficial, one should practice in accordance with righteousness and what is beneficial. “And what, bhikkhus, is unrighteousness and what is unbeneficial? Wrong view, wrong intention, wrong speech, wrong action, wrong livelihood, wrong effort, wrong mindfulness, wrong concentration, wrong knowledge, wrong liberation—this, bhikkhus, is called unrighteousness and what is unbeneficial. “And what, bhikkhus, is righteousness and what is beneficial? Right view, right intention, right speech, right action, right livelihood, right effort, right mindfulness, right concentration, right knowledge, right liberation—this, bhikkhus, is called righteousness and what is beneficial. “‘Unrighteousness, bhikkhus, is to be known, and what is unbeneficial; righteousness is to be known, and what is beneficial. Having known unrighteousness and what is unbeneficial, and having known righteousness and what is beneficial, one should practice in accordance with righteousness and what is beneficial’—this is what was said, and it was said with reference to this.”The Buddha's words, paṭhamaadhammasutta from Tipitaka_Pali_Reader
