Admit Your Inability

In the Bible, Peter believed he had the strength to follow Jesus to the end. He even said he would die with Him. Jesus told him plainly that he would not even get through the night. Peter argued with God because he was sincere, and many believers do the same. We believe that we have in ourselves the resources to finish this journey. But sincerity does not create endurance. It was in the garden that Peter discovered his own powerlessness. Scripture says he had nothing left to say. This moment was actually not failure. It was revelation. God was showing him that the journey could only be finished in the strength of another. What is of us will burn in the fire. What is of Christ will remain. Today admit your inability and allow Christ to live His strength through you today. Talk to God about all of this. It's time to pray.
