Admitting we have a social media addiction
from Suddenly Thirty
In today's episode, the girls discuss everything dopamine aka a well known neurotransmitter in our brains. Some research suggests we are not designed for the modern onslaught of dopamine we receive from our daily caffeine, text messages, sex, movies, social media, food, emails, evening alcohol, or all the other easily available dopamine-boosting triggers. While the girls recognise that they have some addictions (both lighthearted and some more serious) they agree to partake in a monthly dopamine detox. A dopamine detox is a fast focused on restricting dopamine-boosting activities for 30 days to help manage addictive behaviours. As always, the girls catch up on what they’ve been up to, their ins and outs, and wishlist items.Lilli’s wishlist - Hunza G SwimsuitEmily’s wishlist - trenches/coatsShop Lilli’s autumn/winter wishlistShop Emily’s autumn/winter wishlistSubscribe to the Suddenly Thirty Substack where we collate all the things we’ve been into this week and share them with you.
