Adobe & Apple Altercations, No More Green Texts, & Open-Source Scares

The Lighthouse IT Podcast - July 12th, 2024 This week, Matt & Griff discuss another open-source web library being used to distribute malware after being bought by a Chinese company.  Also, Adobe was facing some heat after their last Terms of Use update, but they have now promised everyone they are not using user content to train their AI model(s). Of course, that hasn't helped them in the new lawsuit the DOJ and FTC have filed against them for their complicated subscription model and hidden fees, whoops.  On the other side of the pond, the EU is investigating Apple for violations of the Digital Markets Act. On the bright side, Apple announced support for RCS in iOS 18, greatly improving communication features between iPhone and non-iPhone users. Woo!
