Adoption

Painful experiences with earthly fathers can make God's fatherly love hard to trust. Humanity lost fellowship with God through sin and became enslaved, but God sent His Son to restore that broken relationship. Through faith in Christ, God not only forgives guilt but adopts people as His children, giving them full honour and inheritance. His Spirit confirms that they belong to Him.
