Advancing the Kingdom

The kingdom of God is a major theme of Jesus. The Kingdom is the realm in which Jesus rules, and to which those who trust him belong. When Jesus proclaimed the kingdom of God “repent for the kingdom of heaven is at hand” He was referring to His own person and mission because He would be the one who would bring forth God’s rule, reign, and dominion to the earth. When the Kingdom of God is advanced, it’s not with frailty or with hesitation, but the Kingdom always advances forcefully. The kingdom breaks through or intrudes itself with great power and abruptness; and the people who hear this liberating message of the Kingdom; they passionately take it by force with eagerness and with a violent zeal.
