Advent #2 - The Coming Messiah Who Can Save Us from Our Greatest Threats

Humanity faces three threats it cannot solve: ignorance of God, guilt before Him, and corruption by sin. Zechariah’s crowned high priest points beyond Joshua to a coming ruler who will also serve as priest. Jesus fulfils the promise as prophet, priest and king. He brings God’s truth against ignorance, offers Himself for guilt, and reigns against sin and death.
