“Rejoicing in God’s Mercy and Forgiveness”Today’s reading from Zephaniah 3:14-20 reminds us of the incredible mercy and love of God. This passage celebrates the promise of salvation and restoration, fulfilled in Jesus Christ, who paid the price for our sins and replaced our shame with His righteousness. The Lord, our mighty Savior, is in our midst, quieting us with His love and rejoicing over us with singing.Even as believers, we may struggle with self-condemnation, guilt, or shame for past sins. Yet, God’s Word assures us that our punishment has been taken away, and we no longer have reason to fear. This Advent season, let us fully embrace His forgiveness and rejoice in the joy that nothing can take away.Take time today to reflect: Do you find it difficult to forgive yourself?
