"Advent : Joy" - Pastor David Maxwell

On this Gaudete Sunday, we light the pink candle and celebrate the profound JOY that comes from Christ's birth! Dive into Luke 2:6-20 as we explore the angel's announcement of "good news of great joy" to humble shepherds—showing how God comes first to the lowly, knows us fully yet loves us deeply, and invites us to seek Him with excitement. Key highlights: ● Joyful Revelation: God chose outcasts to hear the news first—reminding us we're never too "unworthy" for His love. ● Joyful Expression: Heaven erupted in praise! The Incarnation (God becoming man) is the heart of Christmas—don't let it get lost in the decorations. ● Joyful Searching: The shepherds believed, hurried to find Jesus, and couldn't stop telling everyone—true encounter with God sparks unstoppable sharing. Plus, a reflective pause on personal joys from God, powerful Scriptures (Psalm 16:11, Romans 15:13, and more), and a meaningful communion reminder from 1 Corinthians 11. This season, reclaim the supreme joy of the Incarnation: God sought us out in the flesh! Perfect for Advent reflection, family devotion, or deepening your faith. #Advent2025 #ThirdSundayOfAdvent #RejoiceInTheLord #ChristmasJoy #BibleMeditation #Luke2 #NativityJoy #ChristIsBorn #TrueJoy #SeekJesus
