from A Moment to Pause - a short daily Christmas reflection · host The Oblates

Advent Moment: Short Reflection for Christmas Eve, Wednesday 24th December with Br Michael Moore OMI.  We reflect on Luke Chapter 1: 67-79 He has visited his people and saved them In the name of the Father, the Son and the Holy Spirit. Good morning and welcome. Thank you for joining us for our morning prayer with the Oblate Family. Following directly from yesterday’s gospel, Zecheriah,  prays aloud in praise of God and thankfulness for John the Baptist. He will be the Prophet of God, and he will go before the Lord to prepare his path. He will call and challenge the people to prepare a way for the Lord and make his path straight. The Nativity of Jesus is almost upon us; have I heard the words and message of John the Baptist during Advent? How have I prepared and gotten ready to welcome Jesus the light of the world into to my heart, my home and my family?  Our Father.. Lord, we thank you for these final days before we celebrate the Nativity of Jesus. Guide and lead as we prepare to welcome Jesus into our hearts, homes and families. In the name of the Father, the Son and the Holy Spirit. Amen. Thank you for being with us this today for our morning prayer.
