Advent Retreat 15: Finding Hope While in the Gap

Hello Friend. Awakening of the Heart Advent Retreat. Our theme in prayer on day fifteen is trusting God’s plan in difficult times, being assured that God’s purposes will be fulfilled, no matter the suffering, the loss, or the disappointment. Let us pray, Gracious Father, on this beautiful day, the day you have made, we come to you with hearts filled with gratitude as we reflect on your promise in Romans 8:28—that you work all things together for the good of those who love you. In this season of waiting and hope, we cling to this truth, recognizing that even in our difficulties, your sovereign hand is at work. Help us to embrace the challenges we face, knowing that they are not without purpose. May we find comfort in the assurance that your plans for our lives are ultimately for our benefit. Teach us to trust in your wisdom, especially when the path ahead feels uncertain or discouraging. Lord, fill the gaps in our understanding and our circumstances with your peace, goodness, and grace. Help us seek you amid struggles, and may your love illuminate in our hearts. As we journey through this season, may we perceive your ways as you weave our stories together in you. Thank you for your unwavering love, guidance, and the promise that through it all, you are working for our good.
