This Advent, our devotional is rooted in a simple but profound affirmation of faith: “I believe… even when.”These words come from a powerful text discovered on the wall of a cellar where a Jewish person was hiding during World War II. In a time of terror, silence, and fear, someone etched out a fragile but courageous confession:“I believe in the sun even when it’s not shining.I believe in love even when I don’t feel it.I believe in God even when He is silent.”Composer Mark A.
