Since January 2013 she has been working as the Human Resource Policy and Diversity Officer at the NATO Headquarters in Brussels, Belgium. Her role is to increase diversity among the International Staff, as well as to create policies to enable this. The featured photo is Tara, in the middle, with Camille (5 years old) hosting Bring-Your-Child-To-Work Day at NATO HQ. Before 2013, Tara was a Finance Officer with the NATO Office of Resources, also in Brussels, advising and coordinating on issues related to the financial management of Alliance Infrastructure Investments. Prior to her post at NATO HQ, Tara was in the Canadian Forces Reserves for 10 years, first as an Artillery soldier and then as a Logistics Officer. Tara completed a certificate in International Human Resources Practices from Cornell University and has a baccalaureate degree in Arts, with honours in Psychology from the University of Ottawa. She has an MBA from the Royal Military College of Canada.
