Advices for Moroccan students after final exams

from ChatGPT Podcast · host ChatGPT Podcast

Every year, Moroccan students prepare to pass the final exams, mainly the regional and baccalaureate exams. Middle school exams took place from June 13 to 14, while the baccalaureate exams in their different fields will be held for the period from June 20 to 24. The National Education Ministry said it will announce the normal session results on July 1. Given the importance of that degree as a gateway to higher education institutions, most students experience psychological stress while waiting for their results. Hespress EN spoke to Green brain academy’s life and school coach Fatima Oulad Addi to list some advices for students. According to the life and school coach, students must mentally prepare themselves for both success and failure. “Failure does not mean the end of the world, but it is another chance for students to improve,” she added. “Not getting a satisfying grade is also not the end of the world, but it is god’s plan to guide the student for a better path,” she further stated. “Learners cannot continue their studies in a linear way, but there are transitions that guide them towards their careers,” she added. How students can fix goals? The school coach stated that the first thing students must do is to define their field of interest, the job that they imagine themselves practicing in the medium and long term. “They must then look for universities and institutions that do offer programs of their interest,” she added. “At the same time, students need to think about a mixture of 3 components, including a field of interest that they are passionate about, a financial stability, and good work conditions in the future,” she further specified. Oulad Addi added that flexibility is also important during this period for students. “Students have to prepare plans A, B, and C that will all enable them to pursue their studies in the field of their interest, but with different situations,” she specified. The school coach gave the example of a student who wants to do medical studies but failed to obtain a good grade. Plan A is to access medical and pharmacy studies faculty, which is not possible because he didn’t meet the required admission conditions. Plan B is to integrate into the university, study biology, and then pursue studies until Ph.D. in a laboratory analysis research field. “Plan B will enable that student to work in the health sector, which was the initial purpose,” she concluded.
