The five-day inquiry which started on Monday focuses on the production chain within the advertising sector to look at ways to eliminate racism and other forms of discrimination In their submission The Institute for Race Relations (IRR) argues instead of worrying about the small number of racist advertisements, the country should instead concentrate on fighting unemployment, crime and service delivery.   Meanwhile, The Economic Freedom Fighters (EFF)'s Mbuyiseni Ndlozi said that more punitive measures should be implemented to deal with racism in the country. According to Advertising Regulatory Board CEO Gail Schimmel. Racism in advertising is caused by unconscious bias and tone-deafness.
