Aero Methow: Caring for Our CommunityWhat does it mean to provide emergency medical care in a place where your patients may also be your friends, neighbors, and the people you see around town?In this season finale of Between Here and Help, host Nicole Ringgold returns to Aero Methow Rescue Service for a conversation with Ruth Payne, Brian McAuliffe, and Ian Ross about the human side of rural EMS.They share their very different paths into emergency medicine and what it takes to respond across nearly 2,000 square miles of the Methow Valley and surrounding wilderness—where distance, weather, terrain, and limited access to hospitals can dramatically shape a call. But this episode goes beyond emergency response. Ruth, Brian, and Ian talk about caring for neighbors during some of their most vulnerable moments, the calls that have stayed with them, the importance of volunteers, and the quieter ways Aero Methow helps people remain safe and independent.
