In this episode, Alex Bleuel and I preview the AFC South. The Tennessee Titans won this division in route to the AFC's top seed last year. The Indianpolis Colts, Houston Texans, and Big D's Jacksonville Jaguars round out the rest of the AFC South. First, we talk Titans. For Tennessee, Derrick Henry is the focal point of this offense. With an ability to run thru and past defenders, the Titans rely on their main back. Despite injuries costing him much of the 2021 season, Henry will be a key to Tennessee's offense. We also look at how AJ Brown's absence will affect Ryan Tannehill. Mike Vrabel has also established himself as one of the NFL's best young coaches. We look at where the former Pats linebacker ranks among NFL coaches. Onto Indy, where the Colts are led by Jonathan Taylor. In his first two NFL seasons. Taylor led the NFL with 1,811 rushing yards in 2021. Together with Micheal Pittman Jr. the Colts will depend on two 2020 draft picks. This year, Matt Ryan will be Indy's new starter after the Colts traded Carson Wentz. We look at if the former Falcon will provide a steady leader under center. We also look at the pressure on Frank Reich to win after missing the playoffs last season. The Texans are next in the AFC South discussion. We look at Davis Mills' potential as Houston's starting quarterback. Brandin Cooks is one of Houston's few stars. We look at whether he can keep his seven-year streak of 1,000-yard seasons with four different teams. We finish this division with Dylan's Jags. After back-to-back No. 1 overall picks. I am sick and tired of losing. Luckily. Doug Pederson replaced Urban Meyer, who did not even last one season as Jacksonville's new head coach. Pederson will look to improve 2021 No. 1 overall pick Trevor Lawrence, who accounted for 12 touchdowns while throwing 17 interceptions in his rookie season. Despite a losing season, I have not lost any faith in Lawrence's ability to lead this franchise for the next several years. Despite not playing last year, Alex is excited to see Travis Etienne's PPR upside play in 2022. Lawrence and Etienne played three years together at Clemson. I am also concerned former Arizona Cardinal receiver Christian Kirk will live up to his monster contract in Duval County. We conclude this episode by both predicting Indy to win this division, and Alex tries to stump me with some Jags trivia from Jacksonville's first draft in 1995.
