Happy New Year! I'm so excited and expectant about the year ahead. I hope you are too. Continue to seek the Lord and His kingdom whole-heartedly.Our church partners monthly at St Jude's Target House where we serve and interact with patients and their families. When we were there last February, I met a young girl and her father from Serbia. Little did I know that night that they would become a precious and integral part of our lives and church during their time in Memphis (and beyond). Their sweet love for God and others, sincere faith and devotion to Jesus, and deep hope touched us in ways they never knew. Sladjan is also director of one of Serbia's only evangelical seminaries; a true friendship and partnership emerged between us. For all of us who knew them well, saying goodbye last August was so difficult. This week, Sladjan and Sara are back in the U.S. and Memphis for a check-up. I am thrilled that Sladjan agreed to share from His heart and the Word this morning. His love for Jesus and sincere faith in Him is an example for us all. Glad you are here! With joy, Barrett
