Affordable Housing in the Bronx, Early Voting Kicks Off in Connecticut, and a Giant Hot Dog in Times Square.

from What's What

New affordable and supportive housing units are in the works in the Bronx. WFUV’s Anne Jackson has more. The end of summer is primary season. WFUV’s Xenia Gonikberg breaks down the key races to watch and why this election is different from previous ones for the state of Connecticut. This month, there’s quite a few astronomical events that can be seen from New York City-but how do hopeful stargazers drown out the city lights? WFUV’s Livia Regina spoke with the Amateur Astronomers Association, a nonprofit that promotes studying space, to find out how, and why, to see the stars. A larger than life hot dog sculpture was on display in Times Square. It was created by two local artists, and it’s meant to represent themes in American politics and culture. WFUV Cityscape host Sienna Reinders spoke to the artists behind the artwork and went to Times Square to check it out.
