Afraid To Share Your Faith? Fearless Doesn't Mean You're Never Scared
from Daily Hope with Pastor John S. Dickerson · host John S. Dickerson
If fear is the reason you go quiet when a conversation turns toward Jesus, you need to hear what fearless actually means. Pastor John S. Dickerson opens Ephesians 6:19-20, where the apostle Paul, writing from prison in chains, asks for prayer not once but twice that God would give him the courage to declare the gospel fearlessly. If Paul needed that kind of prayer, so do we. Fearless does not mean you never feel afraid. It means you are no longer controlled by that fear. It is the same feeling as stepping off a ledge into the water or jumping from a plane: the fear is real, but you step out anyway. This is part of the Daily Hope series on brokenhearted boldness, learning to live and speak for Jesus with courage even when our emotions say otherwise.
