Jenrette alone with her husband Melvin Jackson Jr have been nominated for Emmy’s. They are the first African American married couple in the awards 70-year history to both earn Emmy Award nominations in the same year - Jenrette for her role in ‘The Handmaid’s Tale’ in the same category as Cicely Tyson, Viola Davis and Diana Rigg for ‘Outstanding Guest Actress in a Drama Series’ and Jackson as ‘Outstanding Actor in a Short Form or Comedy Drama Series for his singular 'This Eddie Murphy Role is Mine not Yours.'
