AFRICAN HEROES, REPRESENTAITON MATTERS FOR OUR KIDS!

from The Well After Hours - Host Beverly D. Allen · host Beverly D. Allen Ministries, LLC

It is a sad truth that our children will not be taught in public schools as well as most private schools, the truth about Blacks & slavery in America! It is the role of Black parents, educators, churches, and community leaders to provide historical and biblical truths about the contributions of Black people. It is a well-known fact that representation matters particularly for Black and Brown children to grow into strong confident well-balanced contributors to society. In particular, stories play an important role in children's representation: they provide information and models, they guide the reader through the discovery of the world, both real and imaginary, and they convey values such as friendship, empathy, courage, sense of belonging, emotions and diversity which are essential for child development and growth. Join both Pastor Gay and I for an informative and encouraging conversation that Christian parents as well as anyone working to shape the lives of Black & Brown children in these times should be a part of. #justice #jesus #faith #podcast #believe #prayer #bible #scripture #talkshow #blackpodcast #blackhistorymonth #blackpeople #talkshow #black #blackpink #spotify #spotifypodcast #yoitubevideo #biblehistory #biblestudy #biblia #biblereading #christiancommunity #christianity #christ #christian #chruchhistory #believe #jeromegayjr
