Before I continue, I welcome you to my page. My name is @cuteboi, and I am happy to be counted among the living, and I thank God for growth both physically and spiritually. In week 170 of the Afritunes Weekly contest, I sang a cover of “Aboki Ka,” meaning “Your Friend or Jesus’ Friend.” This song is a combination of English and the Hausa dialect. As I was saying from the beginning of my write-up, I was talking about the grace of God and His mercies. I am an epitome of God’s grace in everything I do. I see the grace of God at work in my life; in my academy, His grace is there. I remember last term things seemed to be difficult, but He came through for us. There are things I am not obligated to do or I did not merit, but because of His grace and mercy, He came through for me and my family. What a privilege and honor to be His friend. Who is a friend? A friend has a different meaning according to how you want it to appear to you and how you view it. When I call someone my friend, then you seem to be someone I trust, someone I can sacrifice for, someone I can entrust with my everything, someone I can share my feelings with. We have friends in different places—friends in school, in church, in the market, in the mosque, and many other places, you can tell. But Jesus is the ultimate friend; he cannot be compared to another friend, a friend that lays down His life for his other friends. What a companion. So we are obliged to do the same to others to the glory of God and to the shame of the devil. I am grateful for your continued support. Peace, fam.
