I remain @oluthomas, and I want to say a big thank you to everyone who has been following and supporting me. I pray that the good Lord rewards you and continues to keep us together. For Afritunes Week 202, I did a rendition of a song in the Hausa dialect, which is a song of thanksgiving to God. Though I don’t know the artist who originally sang the song, I truly love it because of its chord progression. I love the melody and the lyrics. The song says that the only thing we have to bring to God is thanksgiving and praise. There is nothing we can offer to God that is above, or more acceptable to Him, than our worship and gratitude. God wants us to always give Him thanks and to make sure we walk in His path. Some days ago, I almost started complaining about how life has been treating some of us. Someone can plan their life, and things may not work according to plan. Sometimes it gets to the extent that we begin to question reality asking if God is seeing us and why He hasn’t made things work in our favor or solved our present needs. But what came to my mind and made me retract those thoughts and begin to thank God was this: many people I knew are dead, and some people we walked the same road with are no more today. So I decided to switch to thanksgiving rather than complaining. So let us use most of our time to appreciate God instead of complaining, and we will see Him come through for us in diverse ways.
