AFRO DISKO BOMBZ

from Groove Royale · host Groove Royale

BOOM! This mix is so heavy that spell-check couldn't handle it. Totally smacked that little Microsoft paperclip guy down! I didn't long ago post an afro type mix but started playing around with some new (and not so new) records yesterday and realised it was for the best. I think quite a few people liked the first afro boogie mix too so hopefully a few of you will dig this too. It kicks off with some raw afro funk from Dick Khoza, then straight into some contemporary afrobeat with Afrodizz and Tony Allen, before things get a lot more discofied with the Whiskey Barons' crew from Boston, a hypnotically dope Dutch disco edit of Ronnie Laws, some classic Patrice Rushen and a banjo based disco jam from Mandrill (yeah, you read that right). Enjoy! African Jive (Moto) - Dick Khoza (Rashid Vally) No Time - Afrodizz (Freestyle) Kilode: Carl Craig straight mix - Tony Allen (Honest Jons) More Heavy - Bosq of Whiskey Barons feat. Kaleta (Ubiquity) Good Feelings - Ronnie Laws re-edit (White) I Was Tired Of Being Alone - Patrice Rushen Happy Beat - Mandrill (Arista)

Daft Punk) Kyma Fi Lyrics:We all dance in the digital lightWe all move to the digital groove Urban Disturbance DeN+ did this Urban groove from the depths of The City Tangled in Tokyo Dead Reckoning Band “Tangled in Tokyo” is a cinematic, high-energy journey through one of the world’s most mesmerizing cities, where ancient tradition and futuristic chaos don’t collide, they dance. From cherry blossoms drifting past wooden shrine gates to neon streets pulsing with techno bass, the song captures the emotional whiplash of Tokyo in motion. Temple bells echo beside club beats, tea ceremonies exist down the block from robot cafés, and stillness and frenzy share the same breath.Driven by an uplifting chorus and immersive imagery, Tangled in Tokyo isn’t just about seeing the city, it’s about feeling it. The confusion becomes magic, the contrasts become rhythm, and the night teaches you how big life can be if you let go.🌸 Neon nights. Ancient echoes.🌆 Lose yourself in the contradictions, and find your groove.
